Description : Mile Ash Lane, Darley Abbey, Derby, Derbyshire Image Reference No. : DP-TAN-MAL-52 Details : This view is of several houses on the right side of the hill going up Mile Ash Lane. Things to look for : normally with 'then and now' photos, the common thing to alter in time is Chimney pots which vanish in modern times, this is the only time where the amount of pots has actually increased ! If you are a current resident in one of these houses please get in touch. Things to look for : It was not possible to take Photo B from the exact place as there was a bus shelter in the way so the view was too restricted, So I have moved to the right about 3 foot. Description : Derby Cathedral tower view 3, Derby, Derbyshire. Image Reference No. : DP-TAN-DCTV3-55 Details : View looking down from the top of Derby Cathedral on Derby over towards Chester Green area. Things to look for : There are lots of changes to see here, the most obvious being Derby power station going and Saint Marys goods yard. Saint Pauls church built in 1849 can be seen on the far left along with Chapel of St Marys on the bridge built 1326. The road that you can see in the centre of the photo is Mansfield Road.
