The first Trolley bus in Derby ran in 1932 and the last one in 1967 on Osmaston Park Road, this selection of images show them in their final year of operation in Derby, the day after the motor buses took over and the trolley routes were abandoned.
The very last Trolley bus to run in Derby was service number 236 on 9th September 1967.

Other Information : This scene shows a double-decker Trolley bus in the foreground and two motor buses behind it waiting at the Market Place, Derby. You can also see the entrance to the underground toilets which used to be located about where today's water feature is.

Other Information : This scene shows the number 60 Trolley bus to Shelton Lock, in the background is the original Assembly rooms with scaffolding around it. It was damaged by fire in 1963 and demolished in 1972. The front of which now can be seen at Crich Tramway museum.

Other Information : This Trolley bus is near the top of Normanton Road where it meets Charnwood street.
The bingo hall on the left was the Trocadero Bingo Hall, formerly the Alexandra Electric Theatre which opened 1913, closed in 1953 and re-opened as the Trocadero Dance Hall.

Other Information : A Blue Bus Dennis Loline on service 15C which ran from Derby bus station to Mickleover Silverhill Estate at the terminus as it was then at Stanstead Road/Ladybank Road, although it was a Derby Corporation Service it was run from the Blue Bus Depot at Willington. Blue Bus were taken over by Derby Corporation in 1974/1975 but a disastrous fire destroyed the depot at Willington and most of the vehicles.
