The first
Trolley bus in Derby ran in 1932 and the last one in 1967 on Osmaston Park
Road, this selection of images show them in their final year of operation
in Derby,
the day after the motor buses took over and the trolley routes were abandoned. The very last Trolley bus to run in Derby was service number 236 on 9th September 1967. |

Description : A brand new Blue bus Image Reference No. : DP-OLDGWCOL-05 Date of photo : September 1967 Other Information : A Blue Bus Dennis Loline on service 15C which ran from Derby bus station to Mickleover Silverhill Estate at the terminus as it was then at Stanstead Road/Ladybank Road, although it was a Derby Corporation Service it was run from the Blue Bus Depot at Willington. Blue Bus were taken over by Derby Corporation in 1974/1975 but a disastrous fire destroyed the depot at Willington and most of the vehicles. |
