Other Information : This is the infamous water feature in the market place. Some people like it and some people hate it. On a Friday night this is where you might see drunken revellers getting a bit wet!

Other Information : This is a view of the water feature with Iron gate behind it. The rounded building in the background is the Derbyshire Building Society. The building was originally built for Barlow and Taylor in 1925.

Other Information : This is the GuildHall in the Market place which is opposite the Assembly rooms. The building to the left of the Guild hall used to be the Police Station this is why the entrance to the market hall is called "Lock up yard" The guild hall (former Town hall) was built in 1842 and designed by Henry Duesbury.

Other Information : This building was once the Royal Oak Pub, now it is a Solicitors.

The building to the right of it used to be Derby Police Station.

Other Information : This war memorial was unveiled by Alderman Oswald Ling on 11th November 1924 and is located in the Market Place near the water feature.

Other Information : This is the Assembly rooms in the Market place which was built in 1977 it replaced the original Assembly rooms building of 1863 which was damaged by fire in 1963 and then demolished in 1972. The front of which now can be seen at Crich Tramway museum.

Below the Assembly rooms is a bar, up until November 2001 this bar was Arkwrights bar. This will re-open as the co-co lounge by Christmas 2002.

Other Information : This is Derby's Council House on the corner of Derwent street and Corporation street. This large building was built in 1939
