Other Information : This is the weir at the river gardens Derby on the 1st day of 2003. It has been raining on and off for several days now and as you can see the water level on the Derwent is very high.

Other Information : This is the bottom of Abbey street. I had the misfortune of driving up this road into 6" of flood water, which stalled the engine. I could not get it going again for 20 mins due to the quantity of floodwater coming down the road. As you can see the water is jetting out of the manhole covers in the road ahead. I have not seen rain as heavy as this in a long time.

Other Information : This is Eastgate underpass, with someone's car under water.
This is in the direction of Derby, As you would see it from the Nottingham direction of Eastgate.

Other Information : This is Eastgate underpass. This lane must have about 14 foot of water in it!. If you were traveling from Nottingham on the A52 this flooded lane is where you would go through and under to get to St Alkmunds way into the City.

Other Information : This is Darwin Place entrance to the car park, as you can see someone has tried to park their car and not quite managed it!

Other Information : This is a road that runs near by the bridge, as you can see driving a car down here is not a good idea while the river Trent is like this!

Other Information : This shot was taken from the bridge in the direction of Willington power station. The river Trent can clearly be seen bursting it's banks.

Other Information : This is at the Willington end of the bridge, here a small brook normally flows into the river!

Other Information : This is Sharlow marina with someone's car in the water. I guess they must have hired a boat a few days ago unaware of the flooding that was to come.

Other Information : This is the view from Cavendish bridge looking towards in the opposite direction to Shardlow marina.
The river is part way up the doors of these houses.
