These lighting pylons were erected in the 1970's, The previous floodlights were fitted in 1953 onto the top of the Osmaston and Normanton stands. Just imagine all the great players over the years that have illuminated by these floodlights. The first floodlit baseball ground match was against Notts County in 1953. |

Now it's all over ! The lighting towers were toppled to the ground at 10:30am on the 8th April 2004. |
