A) Alexandra Mill. Located on Great Northern Road, this three storey building was built by William Higginbotham in the 1860's. Higginbotham expanded from silk throwing to elastic web manufacturing when he developed this complex. This mill was aquired by Rowleys in 1910. Today this is the site of Alexandra Mills appartments. |
